Unfortunately, many people don’t know
how to articulate what the Bible says. They want to
evangelize and witness to other people but when the
opportunity comes up, they are dumbstruck can only think to
hand the person a tract and then go on their merry way. If
you are earning the right to be heard, you better have
something to say when people tell you that they are
listening!
We need to be ready to communicate the
truth of the gospel and how it has affected our lives. When
someone notices that you are always considerate and asks you
about it, you can say it is because God has made a
difference in my life and he can yours too…”
Think things out ahead of time. If
someone says, “Wow, I didn’t know that Jesus could make that
big of a difference in a person’s life. How can I become a
Christian?” know what you are going to say.
Spend some time and write out your
testimony. Remembering why you became a Christian can be
re-energizing to your faith and the story can be
inspirational for other people who may ask about it.
