There are five colors (some have six)
in the wordless book. They are
black,
red,
white, yellow,
and
green.
Some add
blue
in as well to represent baptism.
The
Black page represents
sin. Sin is when we fail to do the things that we are
supposed to do. The Bible teaches us that everyone has
sinned. Sin separates us from God. We can't
enter into heaven because we have sinned. That's bad
news. Fortunately there is Good News!
The
Red page represents the blood of Jesus.
Jesus never sinned. Jesus died even though He didn't
deserve to. His blood washes away our sins.
The White page represents cleanness.
While we were once dirty because of our sins, the blood of
Jesus made us clean.
The
Yellow or
Gold page represents heaven. Because we have
been made clean, we now can go to heaven and live with Jesus
forever.
The
Green
page represents growth and new life. When we have been
forgiven of our sins and they have been washed away we are
new creatures. The bad things in our past our gone and
we can live life anew. But we also have a
responsibility. We are supposed to grow closer to God.
This can be done by going to church, reading the Bible, and
praying.
Some books include a
Blue
page as well. This represents baptism. Believers
are told to be baptized. It depends on your beliefs
how much baptism is emphasized and what manner of baptism
should take place however.
